Clinical Research (CRA)/(CRC)
The post-baccalaureate program is intended for those who have a Bachelors degree and who wish to acquire the basic theoretical and practical skills in assisting and coordinating in Clinical Research. Graduates of these Certificate programs are equipped with the knowledge and skills to become general practitioners in the field, as well as to enter and pursue advanced degree programs in the field.

This course will provide the foundational preparation needed to become a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) or Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC). Over the past several years, the demand for qualified CRA's and CRC's has grown rapidly. More importantly, the demand for qualified Clinical Researchers is expected to nearly double within the next ten years. Since they monitor clinical investigations of experimental drugs and devices, course content will focus on important concepts and information essential to effective functioning in the research arena. The program begins with an overview of drug development and the regulated environment. Other topics to be covered include critical skills and meaningful insights in areas related to the management of pre-study activities, study protocols, initiation, management, termination procedures, and collateral project management.
